About Us
Who We Are
Founded in 2011, The Lorraine Academy LLC began as a community‑focused organization serving children and families through education, youth‑centered programs, food support, and large‑scale community events. What started as a local effort to meet immediate needs quickly grew into a broader mission of empowerment and community uplift.
In 2018, Lorraine Academy Network, Inc. (LANI) was established to expand this work and create a stronger, more sustainable foundation for family support, youth development, and community engagement. LANI became the organizational home for programs that strengthen families, build community connections, and provide accessible resources for those who often fall between low‑income and middle‑income support systems.
In 2024, Where Are The Children (WATC) was launched, a child‑safety and community‑strengthening initiative focused on missing, exploited, runaway, and vulnerable youth. WATC expanded LANI’s mission to include child protection, family crisis support, and community awareness efforts that help safeguard the most vulnerable members of our communities.
Today, LANI continues to grow as a network dedicated to education, safety, empowerment, and community impact — building on a legacy of service that began more than a decade ago.
